Cisney Romps To Port Royal Opening Day Triumph

PORT ROYAL, Pa. — The opening day of 410 sprint car racing at Port Royal Speedway kicked off on Sunday, with Dylan Cisney taking the win from the pole position.

Despite earning pole for the feature, Cisney had to battle it out in the latter stages of the event with Jeff Halligan and Parker Price-Miller.

Halligan held the point until lapped traffic held up the No. 45 machine, handing the lead over to Price-Miller.

With two laps to go, Cisney made his move, bursting to the inside of Price-Miller in turn two, before clearing the No. 9P momentarily.

Price-Miller battled back between turns three and four, pulling a slide job out of turn four to take the lead with the white flag waving.

Cisney locked the top spot down for the final time after completing the pass on Price-Miller out of turn two.

Price-Miller would hang on to second, with Pennsylvania-native Anthony Macri capping off the podium.

On top of the trophy, Cisney brought home a crisp $5,000 check after the win.
