PLACERVILLE, Calif. — Tanner Carrick won the 35-lap Nor-Cal Shooutout finale at Placerville Speedway on Sunday night.
The Lincoln, California, native drove the family owned No. 83t to a $5,500 pay day.
Carrick held off a fast-closing Justin Sanders who himself had a heated battle for Sean Becker who took the third position. Shane Golobic and Colby Copeland rounded out the top five.
Carrick and Sanders made up the front row for the start with Carrick taking the early advantage on his way to leading the entire race. Sanders fell back to battle several laps with Dyland Bloomfield. Becker would eventually replace Bloomfield as Carrick would master the slower traffic.
Carrick rim rode thru the lapped cars. The race went 19 laps before the first caution when Landon Brooks pulled to a stop short of the infield.
Once restarted, Carrick showed his dominance as the race went green again until the checkered flag.
