GRANBY, Quebec — It will be a challenge of two nations May 11-12 at the Autodrome Granby.
The first Can-Am Challenge sprint car event will offer $33,000 during two days of competition, culminated by a 30-lap $5,000-to-win feature.
The best 360 sprint car drivers from some six states and two Canadian provinces will trek to the very four-tenths-mile oval to see who is up to the challenge in becoming the first Can-Am Challenge champion.
Top teams from the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, the Patriot Sprint Tour, Corr-Pak Sprints, Sprint Cars of New England and the Southern Ontario Sprints will make their way to the French speaking province in the second weekend of May looking for the biggest pot of gold.
Even though several sanctions will be participating, the event is open competition with any team welcome which can conform to the rules package being put together.
The exciting Can-Am Challenge will be a part of a big two-race weekend that will also see the ground pounding modifieds, sportsman and sports compacts on Friday night with the mods going for a 50 lap special. Saturday the modifieds are back joined by the pro stocks and the exciting lightning sprints making for a must see for any dirt track fan.
