JACKSONVILLE, Ill. — Brian Brown was one place better than the previous night in winning Saturday night’s Shaheen’s Blast From the Past presented by National Speed Sport News feature at Jacksonville Speedway.

It was the season finale for the Midwest Open Wheel Ass’n winged sprint cars and the second event of a doubleheader weekend to close the campaign. Brown finished second to Chris Bell on Friday at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway.

Brown held off Jerrod Hull for the victory on the quarter-mile dirt track with Terry McCarl, Bryan Clauson and Robbie Standridge rounding out the top five.
