Brown Headlines Friday 360 Nationals Field

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Night two of the 34th Xtream powered by Medicacom 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank will see three drivers who have won the grandaddy of all 360 sprint car races in the field.

Two-time 360 Nationals winner Brian Brown, who won last year’s thrilling three-wide battle with Rico Abreu and Aaron Reutzel, will be joined by 2017 winner Clint Garner and 2020 victor Kerry Madsen.

The two preliminary night features pay $3,000 to the winner, while Saturday’s main event will pay $20,000 to win, plus $500 per lap led, making it possible for the race winner to earn as much as $35,000.

The Friday program is shocked full of traveling sprint car racers, highlighted by seven High Limit Racing competitors. Tyler Courtney, who has won nine 410 sprint car features this season including four with High Limit, leads the group that also includes Brenham Crouch, Cory Eliason, Kasey Kahne, Parker Price-Miller, Zeb Wise and Tanner Thorson.

Knoxville Raceway regulars competing on Friday night are led by Tasker Phillips, who has won in both classes this season. His brother, Sawyer, won his first 360 feature at Knoxville this season and he’s also in the field.

Dusty Zomer, Scott Bogucki and Carson McCarl have all won in Knoxville’s 410 division this season, while Knoxville veterans Dustin Selvage and Brooke Tatnell will also race on Friday.

ASCS National Tour rookie Hank Davis has impressed this season and he will wheel the car owned and prepared by two-time 360 Nationals winner Wayne Johnson. Many-time ASCS champion Sam Hafertepe continues to chase that elusive 360 Nationals crown, while fellow National Tour drivers Andrew Deal and Brady Baker will also be in action.

Tim Shaffer, the 2010 Knoxville Nationals winner and 2013 World of Outlaws champion Daryn Pittman headline a group of drivers from other areas of the country that include Ohio’s Kasey Jedrezek and Washington’s Devon Borden, who races weekly in Pennsylvania.
