COLUMBUS, Miss. — Brad Bowden drove Tony Higgins’ No. 8 winged sprint car into the USCS Victory Lane for the first time this season and captured a career-second USCS victory on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway.
Bowden battled USCS Hall of Famer Terry Gray for the lead in the early going with Gray leading three Laps before Bowden took the point until the checkers waved after 30 laps.
Gray was set up to run the bottom of the three-eighths-mile oval and lost some ground in lapped traffic.
Hayden Martin battled with Gray and Dale Howard for the runner-up spot.
Past USCS Champion, Marshall Skinner moved into the top five and those four drivers see-sawed positions in the top five for the final 20 laps.
The young gun Hayden Martin prevailed in the battle for the runner-up spot with two-time USCS Mid-South Champion Dale Howard following Martin across the finish line in third place.
Skinner took the high side to fourth place while Gray completed the top five.
