ALTOONA, Iowa – Austin McCarl is set to pilot the well-known Country Builders Racing No. 88 sprint car full-time next racing season.
The 2018 Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway track champion will compete weekly at Knoxville and Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.
“I am appreciative of the opportunity the Offill family gave me both as a sprint car driver and mechanic in 2021,” McCarl said in a release. “We gained a lot together as a new team, and I felt as though we were just getting started as our season came to an end. I look forward to building on that momentum in the year to come.”
While the team has its sights on the Knoxville and Huset’s point championship, the schedule will also include, but is not limited to, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series races, All Star Circuit of Champions races, NARC King of the West races, ASCS-sanctioned events and more.
“Myself and the Offill boys are not only excited to have the No. 88 car back in the Midwest, but to also chase two track championships,” Weldon Offill said. “Country Builders Racing has full confidence that the 2018 Knoxville Raceway track champion and 10-time Huset’s Speedway winner will be a great asset to our team in 2022.”
Austin McCarl and Country Builders Racing will continue to be supported by Country Builders Construction, Offill Family Farms, Ochoco West, MAAS Brothers Powder Coating, Kolthoff Electric, Brown & Miller Racing Solutions, HRP, FK Shocks, A.R.T.
