HANFORD, Calif. — Due to high wind advisories in the area, the Anthony Simone Classic at Keller Auto Speedway has been cancelled.
The $10,000 to win double-feature show represented round two of the NARC Fujitsu General 410 Sprint Car Series campaign.
Promoter Peter Murphy decided it wasn’t feasible to stage the event and didn’t want teams towing from long distances only to get cancelled later in the day.
“The high winds bring too many variables into play,” Murphy said, “and I don’t want to jeopardize the safety of the racers or the experience of the fans.”
