WARRNAMBOOL, Australia — Night Two of the 49th South West Conveyancing Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic served up a bit of everything and the last 11 laps of the A-Main was the icing on the cake.
At the restart, Grant Anderson and Marcus Dumesny embarked on a torrid chase of race leader James McFadden, before McFadden clipped the infield tire on the exit of turn four, to hand the lead to Anderson, who then withstood a high-wire trapeze act from Marcus Dumesny to salute amidst a gaggle of lapped cars.
McFadden came home third and was high point man for the second night of qualifying.
Warrnambool Grant Stansfield has a career night, finishing fourth to secure a nice bounty of Classic points heading into night three while Ryan Jones was as persistent as ever with his fifth placed run.
