ROSSBURG, Ohio — Entries for Thursday’s Eldora Million winged sprint car race at Eldora Speedway closed on Friday with the final run down showing 82 cars.
Leading the final group of entries is David Gravel, who won last month’s High Banks Nationals at Huset’s Speedway, aboard the Big Game Motorsports No. 2 owned by Tod Quiring.
Carson Macedo in the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41, Spencer Bayston aboard the CJB Motorsports No. 5, Michael Kofoid in Dennis Roth’s No. 83jr, Tim Shaffer in the Grove Motorsports machine, Australian Lachlan McHugh and female drivers Paige Polyak and McKenna Haase were also among the final bunch of entries.
Five-time Kings Royal winner Donny Schatz filed the first entry in early June, while others having previously filed entries include Lance Dewease, Brent Marks, Zeb Wise, Brian Brown, Brad Sweet Daryn Pittman, Kyle Larson, Rico Abreu, Gio Scelzi, Logan Schuchart, Sheldon Haudenschild, Anthony Macri, Danny Dietrich, Kerry Madsen, Hunter Schuerenberg, Ian Madsen, Shane Stewart, James McFadden, Justin Peck and Tyler Courtney are among those previously entered.
Preliminary events are scheduled for Wednesday (July 12), with the big-money event set for July 13.
Two nights of Kings Royal competition will follow on July 14-15.
While the Eldora Million offers a total purse of $1,405,373, the four-day purse that includes Saturday night’s $175,000-to-win Kings Royal totals $2,000,023.
