TULSA, Okla. — On par with entry numbers from last year at this time, the 39th annual Tulsa Shootout, happening December 26-31 at the SageNet Center, is already nearing the 700 entry mark, with this week’s update putting the count at 671.
Able to run multiple divisions, three drivers are currently registered into five classes of competition, including the 2022 Restricted A-Class Champion, Jett Nunley. Joining him are Xander Dundon and Braxton Weger. The count sits at 73 drivers entered into four divisions, another 41 into three, and 68 planning on a two-division run at a Golden Driller.
The total number of drivers is currently 290 from 197 cities across 34 states.
The list of defending champions includes Mattix McBride, who will make his bid for the Restricted Golden Driller. This year’s winner in Restricted, Jack Thomas, will also move up and take on Outlaw and A-Class. Entries from Gavan Boschele (SNW), T.J. Smith (OWN), Jake Hagopian (A-Class) and Emerson Axsom (Outlaw) have not been filed yet.
