CLERMONT, Ind. — Jake Trainor topped the national midget feature that was part of the Carb Night Classic racing program Friday night at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.
Trainor qualified second and outran fast-qualifier Bobby Santos, who won the Hoosier Hundred USAC Silver Crown Series race later in the night, to win the 30-lap event. Trainor finished .859 seconds ahead of Santos.
Chuck Gurney Jr., Kyle O’Gara and Kody Swanson rounded out the top five.
