BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Kody Swanson came between Jake Trainor and a perfect night Wednesday at Lucas Oil Raceway Park.
Swanson outran Trainor by 7.255 seconds to win the 30-lap National Pavement Midget feature at the five-eighths-mile track. It was his second triumph at the track this season.
Trainor finished second, but won the 20-lap All Star Spectacular and the EcoTech/Ford Focus midget feature that shared the card on this evening.
Nathan Byrd finished third in the main event, while Justin Grant and Logan Seavey completed the top five.
Trainor won the 20-lap invitational All-Star Spectacular over Kaylee Bryson, with Kody Swanson, sprint car Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell and dirt late model ace Ricky Thornton Jr. completing the top five.
Trainor topped Kyle O’Gara to win the EcoTech/Ford Focus feature.
