AUCKLAND, New Zealand — Continued heavy rain forced the postponement of Sunday’s planned racing program at Western Springs Speedway.
The event was scheduled to include the 50-lap Midget Classic and the J.A. Russell Silver Crown race for sprint cars.
With Sunday’s postponement, track officials will attempt to get the quarter-mile dirt track into racing condition for a 6 p.m. local time start on Monday evening.
If the planned Monday rain date cannot proceed, the event will be pushed to Tuesday.
