BELLEVILLE, Ill. — OSR Bikes and Motors of Logansport, Ind., has become the first partner for the upcoming National Speed Sport News 66 Mike Phillips Memorial July 19-20 at Belle-Clair Speedway.
Although established in 2009, the Clem family owned a Kawasaki dealership from 1969-2009 before opening their current business. They have been building engines for more than 40 years, jumping into micro sprint engines in the early 1990s, deciding to make a business out of it while also putting power plants into impressive drag bikes at the same time.
In 2011, they hit it big when Trent Beckinger won them a POWRi micro sprint championship while picking up a second-place finish at the inaugural 66 Mike Phillips Memorial, following it up in 2012 with a third-place finish.
OSR continues to grow, picking up new drivers and riders frequently. Owner Shannon Clem will be present, once again, for this year’s event, excited for OSR’s strongest present yet for The National Speed Sport News 66 Mike Phillips Memorial.
Check them out on FB, Twitter, and the web at www.OSRbikes.com.
The first pre-entry for the third annual event has been received from Converse, Ind.’s Andrew Peters. Peters has already won four micro sprint races this season and is quickly getting accustomed to his new Sawyer Chassis in preparation for the $10,000-to-win 66 Mike Phillips Memorial.
