Michael Faccinto, Chase McDermand and Carson Hocevar have landed on the Trifecta Motorsports roster for the upcoming Chili Bowl Nationals.
The team will field three cars during the indoor midget race at SageNetCenter in Tulsa, Okla., on Jan. 8-13.
Faccinto, who won the Placerville Speedway sprint car championship this year, will pilot the No. 5u for Trifecta. He is a multi-time winner at the Tulsa Shootout and has finished as high as 18th in the Chili Bowl A main (2017).
Meanwhile, McDermand will wheel the flagship No. 7u entry.
The Illinois native won six Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series features this year, and has been a formidable part-time competitor on the USAC national midget circuit as well. McDermand came in third on his prelim night at the Chili Bowl earlier this year, ultimately finishing 16th during Saturday’s A main.
“Really looking forward to working with Steve Carbone, Staton Flurry, Bobby Milliser and the 7u crew at the Chili Bowl Nationals,” McDermand wrote on Facebook. “I have a lot of respect for these guys and am so thankful for this opportunity. Just 67 short days until move-in.”
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Hocevar is set to slide behind the wheel of the No. 77u at the SageNet Center in January. Hocevar made his second trip to the Chili Bowl earlier this year and finished sixth in the G main.
“He did have some seat time in a midget earlier this year, so we will have a good line of communication to start from as we attempt to put three cars in the Saturday night A main,” Trifecta Motorsports wrote in their Facebook announcement on Tuesday.
