TULSA, Okla. – Harli White will kick off next season with her seventh appearance at the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire.
The Oklahoma native will slide behind the wheel of the Beierle Racing No. 11h in pursuit of the coveted Golden Driller trophy.
“I’m looking forward to racing the Chili Bowl again,” said White, whose last visit to the River Spirit Expo Center was in 2018.
“Scott [Beierle] actually contacted me last year about racing the Chili Bowl while I was in Australia, and this year with the restrictions on travel, I’ll be home, so I’m pumped to come back and see if I can continue my success there.”
White, who is the highest finishing female driver in the history of the Chili Bowl Nationals, finished 10th in preliminary action in 2016 before getting tangled up in an early crash Saturday night that put her finishing 19th in the B Feature.
“With Scott and his crew, I really think we are very capable of competing and doing well at the Chili Bowl this year,” noted White. “The biggest thing is making sure that you’re able to move forward every time you hit the track. The format is really close to what I’m used to running with ASCS, so it’s all about getting through your heat and qualifier.”
The Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals presented by General Tire takes place Jan. 11-16, inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla.
Next season marks the 14th year of racing for White.
