NEWBERRYTOWN, Pa. — Chad Layton held off Daryn Pittman in lapped traffic to capture the 410 sprint-car portion of The Final Showdown at Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna Speedway Park Saturday afternoon.
Layton took the lead at the outset and dominated the 30-lap event. Pittman did his best to challenge Layton as the pair raced in and out of lapped traffic, but Pittman never got close enough to make a pass and finished second.
Don Kreitz, Jr. was third ahead of Greg Hodnett and Fred Rahmer. Pittman, Hodnett and Layton won their respective heat races.
Aaron Ott came from seventh to win the 20-lap 358 sprint-car feature.
