TEXARKANA, Ark. — A new make-up date has been announced for the 36th annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires & Ark-La-Tex Lawn and Landscape at Texarkana 67 Speedway.
The event, scheduled for this weekend, wash washed out by heavy rain and will now be run Oct. 26-28 at Texarkana 67 Speedway, which will host the prestigious winged 360 sprint car race for the first time after taking over as the host venue from I-30 Speedway.
When this weekend’s racing was postponed an initial makeup of Oct. 19-21 was released.
However, with the date originally scheduled for the American Sprint Car Series the following weekend falling off the schedule, the Short Track Nationals will now happen Oct. 26-28.
The event will kick off with the $4,646-to-win 16th annual ASCS Mid-South Ralph Henson Memorial on Oct. 26, with the Short Track Nationals taking place on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, culminating with the 41-lap, $20,000-to-win STN championship feature.
There are currently 61 drivers from 15 different states entered for the event ASCS National Championship series-sanctioned event.
