ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. – Outlasting a torrid battle through traffic, Oregon’s Garen Linder parked in victory lane with the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region Saturday night at Wyoming’s Sweetwater Speedway.
Chasing the lead until the closing laps, the early advantage went to Montana’s Trevor Kirkland. Leading the first four revolutions, Tanner Holmes worked around the No. 37 on lap five and kept pace over the field until lap 10, as Kirkland re-acquired the point the following lap.
In traffic, Linder was able to secure the point with six laps to run and open his advantage to 2.790 seconds. Trevor Kirkland held on for second with Holmes crossing third. Zac Taylor maintained fourth and Arizona’s Alex Pettas moved from eighth to fifth.
Nick Haygood was sixth, followed by Tyler Driever. Idaho’s James Setters was eighth, with Jeremy McCune and Jayme Barnes completing the top 10.
The next outing for the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region is Aug. 14-15 at Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Mont.
