WACO, Texas — Adding his name to the list of winners with the MYCO Plastics ASCS Elite Outlaw Sprint Series on Friday night, Kyle Jones grabbed the lead at Heart O’ Texas Speedway just past the mid-point and proceeded to dominate from there.
Winning the Wild Bill Shootout at the Waco, Texas oval, the 2020 event champion is the first driver to win the annual tribute to Bill White in both winged and non-winged competition.
A race that saw numerous leaders, Marcus Thomas led the opening nine revolutions before his night came to a stop.
Getting the point for two laps, Blaine Baxter likewise would see his run end early. Putting Paul White out front, that point would be held until lap 15 when Jones took over.
Pulling away rapidly from there, Jones wrapped up the 25-lap affair with a 6.037-second advantage over Paul White.
Third went to Michelle Parson, with Claude Estes III, and Jeb Sessums making up the top five.
