Howell Finds Victory Lane In ASCS Non-Wing Go

KENNEDALE, Texas — Jason Howell got back to victory lane with the ASCS Elite Non-Wing Series presented by Abilene Powder Coating Saturday night at Kennedale Speedway Park, collecting a $3,000 payday.

It was only the second time since 2019 that Howell has won a series race.

Steven Shebester led at the start, but Howell closed, using the bottom and grabbing second on lap 10. He quickly caught Shebester who  was running the top line around quarter-mile oval and passed him on lap 14. The caution came out two laps later, setting up a four-lap dash to the finish.

Shebester tried one last time coming to the checkers, but it was Howell by 0.150 seconds. Justin Zimmerman was third with Mason Smith and Paul White rounding out the top five.
