US RaceTronics Adds Car For Laguna

Pippa Mann

MONROVIA, Calif. — US RaceTronics is adding a ProAm car to their lineup for the upcoming Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America rounds at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca Sept. 7-9.

LSTNA driver Pippa Mann will be teaming up with Pirelli World Challenge, and IMSA racer Mike Hedlund to share the driving duties of the No. 63 Bell Techlogix / AQUAHydrate Lamborghini of Beverly Hills.

Mann, an IndyCar and LSTNA veteran, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Southern California team and has already had a top-10 overall finish and class podium this season in LSTNA at Watkins Glen Int’l. She is excited to be participating with USRT in their home race at Laguna Seca.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to return to Super Trofeo, and to join US RaceTronics with the support of Bell Techlogix and Shift Up Now at Laguna Seca,” Mann said. “The Laguna Seca event was one of my favorite events of the season in 2017, so I can’t wait to get back on the race track, and pair up with Mike for the first time.”

Mann will have several of her longtime sponsors in attendance and is thrilled to introduce them to the excitement of Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing.

“I’m excited to continue to strengthen my partnership with Bell Techlogix,” Mann added, “and I love the fact that we’re going to have guests on site this weekend who will get to experience IMSA and Super Trofeo racing in person for the first time. I’m also extremely proud to be teaming up with Shift Up Now as their mission to inspire girls and women to gain courage and confidence is something that lines up strongly with my core beliefs.”

Mann’s co-driver for the event is current Pirelli World Challenge driver Mike Hedlund. Hedlund has been successful at a variety of different racing challenges including the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, 6 Hours of the Glen, Petit Le Mans, Ferrari Challenge, Grand-Am Rolex GT, and Porsche Supercup at Spa-Francorchamps. Hedlund had a podium finish at Laguna in the IMSA WeatherTech series in 2015 and also participated in the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans in a GT car. His successes and diverse background made him an easy choice to share the driving duties with Mann.

“I can’t wait to get back to Laguna Seca with Pippa Mann in our US RaceTronics Lamborghini,” Hedlund said. “Laguna Seca is a home track for me and it’s always special when you get to compete close to your family and friends. The Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo is a new car and series for me, but I’ve watched it closely over the last few seasons. The competition is tight, and the cars are mega quick! US RaceTronics has had a lot of success in the series, so I couldn’t imagine a better place to get started. We have everything in place for a strong first outing and we’ll do our best to deliver a good result for the US RaceTronics fans and partners.”
