AUSTIN, Texas – Nikko Reger ran an impressive qualifying lap to take the TCR-class pole for Saturday’s TC America event at Circuit of the Americas.
Reger ran a lap of 2:18.886 to grab the TCR-class pole in his No. 51 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N TCR. Reger’s teammate, Tyler Maxson, will start from second in the No. 74 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N TCR with Nate Vincent and the No. 72 FCP Euro VW Golf GTI TCR in third.
Defending class champion Johan Schwartz claimed the TC pole in the No. 31 Hard Motorsport BMW M240iR Cup with a 2:24.710 lap. Toby Grahovec and the No. 26 Classic BMW M240iR Cup will start from second with Jeff Ricca and the new No. 78 GenRacer Hyundai Veloster N TC in third.
The TCA pole went to Mark Pombo and the No. 61 MINI JCW Team Mini Cooper JCW with a time of 2:31.786, which he claimed on the last-lap of the session.
Tyler Gonzalez will start the No. 51 Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster Turbo second with Joey Essma and the No. 22 TechSport Racing Subaru BRZ tS starting third.
