Iron Lynx has announced that Mercedes-AMG Performance Driver Maxime Martin will be joining the team for the 2025 FIA WEC season.
A 38-year-old Belgian racer, Martin has an exceptional résumé as a factory driver in GT racing and found outstanding success in some of the world’s most challenging 24-hour races, including an overall win in the 2016 24 Hours of Spa and a GTE-Pro win in the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Martin competed and excelled in a multitude of racing championships and environments around the globe, and will be a key asset for the team’s 2025 challenge.
As Iron Lynx prepares for the busy and exciting season ahead, the first as a Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing team, the addition of Martin to the driver roster will provide extra focus and motivation.
Both the team and driver are looking forward to competing with the new Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 machinery, which will bring the legendary German brand back to world-class endurance racing and to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“I’m very happy to join Iron Lynx for the 2025 WEC season,” Martin said. “Mercedes-AMG is a new manufacturer for me and for the team, and I’m definitely looking forward to the year ahead. Iron Lynx has a remarkable history, and I have been teammates with Andrea Piccini in the past. It will be special to be back with him as the Team Principal. I cannot wait to get started in Qatar and try to win some races.”
