Maier To Pilot TA2 Entry For Nitro Motorsports

CHESTER, Md. — Ben Maier will pilot the BOE Marine car for Nitro Motorsports in the Trans-Am TA2 Series through 2024 and beyond.

There will be a new industry-leading marine brand on the hood each week.

The season starts in just 10 days at the iconic Sebring Int’l Raceway on Feb. 24. The event will showcase the BOE Marine car in hot red livery — a Nitro Motorsports entry.

Maier’s crew chief for the season will be Brad Parrott. The driver/crew chief pair has already developed a great rapport that will continue to enhance performance throughout the season.

Following a collective Trans Am TA2  test session at Sebring in January, where Maier was near the top of the charts every session, anticipation is high for a standout performance. With Maier’s talent behind the wheel and the support of BOE Marine, and brands like Honda Marine, the stage is set for a great season.

“We are thrilled to finally get our BOE Marine logo on one of Ben’s cars, and are so appreciative of our vendors to rally behind Ben to make this happen,” said Jim Maier, Ben’s father and Owner at BOE Marine. “Ben’s passion for racing and social media acumen can finally be put to work to move the needle for our company and for our brands.”

“I am so excited for the season to start,” said Ben Maier. “This is the first year I’ve had in a long time where all the pieces have fallen into place to allow my skills to shine and to run up front. I am so thankful for my family’s support, and the number of companies that are rallying behind me to make this season a success.”

Maier will run the No. 80 car with Nitro Motorsports. His best result of eighth came at COTA at the end of the 2023 season running this car for the first time, in the conclusion of a season rife with challenges.
