ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Jordan Pepper and Andrea Caldarelli put the No. 3 K-PAX Racing Lamborghini Huracan GT3 in victory lane during Saturday’s GT World Challenge America event at Road America following a chaotic finish.
With Pepper at the wheel following the required driver switch, the No. 3 K-PAX entry was leading when the second-place No. 33 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 entry of Phillip Ellis made contact with a slower car. The slower car, the No. 61 of Jean-Claude Saada, crashed in turn 11 before coming to a stop in the middle of the race track.
With not enough time to clear the track, the checkered flag would wave and Pepper and Caldarelli were declared the overall and pro winners of the event.
The No, 93 Racers Edge Motorsports Acura NSX GT3, driven by Taylor Hagler and Dakota Dickerson, finished third overall to lay claim to the Pro-Am class victory. Despite the crash late in the race, the No. 61 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 shared by Saada and Conrad Grunewald were declared the Am class victors.Â
