DTM Extends Circuit Zandvoort Through 2026

ZANDVOORT, The Netherlands — DTM will be racing in Zandvoort in the Netherlands until at least 2026, the series announced Sunday.

DTM and Circuit Zandvoort agreed to continue working together and also agreed on an option to race on the circuit on the North Sea until 2028.

In its 40-year history, DTM has never competed on any other race track outside Germany as often as in Zandvoort. The series has been a guest on the North Sea coast since 2001 and this year marks the 20th time it will be racing on the circuit, which is popular with drivers, teams and fans.

“We are delighted to have the Circuit Zandvoort on the DTM calendar for at least two more years,” said ADAC Motorsport Director Thomas Voss. “With its unique characteristics right by the sea, the Grand Prix circuit is very popular with fans and drivers alike. Due to Max Verstappen’s successes in Formula 1, motorsport enthusiasm in the Netherlands is very high, which is also increasing interest in the DTM.

“The track has been a venue for spectacular races time and again in the history of the DTM and therefore fits perfectly into the calendar.”

“As Circuit Zandvoort, we are delighted to extend our partnership with the DTM,” said Robert van Overdijk, CEO of Circuit Zandvoort. “For more than 20 years, the DTM has shown spectacular races that have fascinated fans.

“We look forward to continuing the partnership, which continues to provide plenty of adrenaline on our iconic track.”
