At A Glance: The Indy 8-Hour Entry List

The Fanatec GT World Challenge America season wraps up with the Indy 8-Hour this weekend at the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The event will be broadcast LIVE on SPEED SPORT 1. 

Seventy-five drivers across 25 race cars will contest the eight-hour event at the IMS Road Course. 

Let’s take a look at some notable drivers on the entry list:

A handful of past and present NTT IndyCar Series stars will return to IMS for the illustrious endurance event. Defending champion Alex Palou will pilot the No. 4 Mercedes-AMG GT3 IGTC Pro class entry alongside co-drivers Fabian Schiller and Luca Stolz.

Conor Daly, who ran the final handful of IndyCar Series races for Juncos Hollinger Racing and earned a podium finish at Wisconsin’s Milwaukee Mile, is set to wheel the No. 99 BMW M4 GT3 with co-drivers Kenton Koch and current Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing IMSA driver Connor De Phillippi. They’ll compete in the IGTC Pro class. 

Zach Veach, who competed with Andretti Global full time in 2018-’19, will be paired with 2014 Indy NXT champion Gabby Chaves and sports car driver Luca Mars. They’ll co-drive the No. 93 Acura NSX GT3 EVO22 for Racers Edge Motorsports in FGTWCA Pro competition. 

Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Jeff Burton will join the fray at IMS as he’ll wheel a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro-Am class alongside co-drivers Elias Seppänen and Philip Ellis. Burton is currently an analyst for NBC Sports’ NASCAR coverage. 

Longtime sports car driver Kenny Habul is set to wheel a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Pro Am class with co-drivers Jayden Ojeda and Lucas Auer.

Numerous current IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car drivers will be in the mix, including:

• Alexander Sims (No. 63, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, FGTWCA Pro)

• Bryan Sellers (No. 64, Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R, Pro-Am)
