PITTSBURGH, Pa. —American rookie standout Chris Livengood will compete in the 2011 F2000 Championship Series.
Livengood, who won at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course last year, will run under the Work Racing banner in the same No. 37 1999 Van Diemen. John Walko will oversee trackside support and engineering for the operation.
“Given the environment under the tent and the energy that surrounds the racing program, I am incredibly enthusiastic to have the opportunity to return,” Livengood said. “I’m excited to field my trusty Van Diemen. The car was fantastic last season and having spoken with Bruce [Work] and John [Walko] extensively over the winter we see no reason why the car won’t continue to see a logical evolution of improvement over this off-season and into the new season.”
Livengood plans to continue what he called his “march towards the front.”
“My motto for 2010 was to improve every weekend,” Livengood continued. “This goal will never change. However, for 2011, I feel I’m closer to where I need to be and have a better understanding of the competition in the paddock. As a result, I hope to challenge for podiums and wins immediately.”
