ThorSport Squad Tackling IMSA At Sebring

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – The ThorSport Racing squad of Grant Enfinger, Ben Rhodes, Myatt Snider and Matt Crafton are going sports car racing this week.

The four competitors, all of whom race for ThorSport Racing in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, will take part in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Alan Jay Automotive Network 120 Friday at Sebring (Fla.) Int’l Raceway.

They’ll drive Ford Mustang GT4s prepared by Multimatic Motorsports. Enfinger and Crafton will team in one car while Snider and Rhodes will share a second entry.

“I’m looking forward to running the IMSA Series race, and the Multimatic Motorsports Mustang GT4 at Sebring,” said Enfinger, the current NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series points leader. “Although I’ll be seeing the track for the first time when I get there next week, I was fortunate enough to make some laps in a Ford Performance simulator, and get an idea of the layout. I hear Sebring is a challenge because the track is tight, and there’s a lot of congestion, but it will be a great opportunity to hone in on my road course racing skills for Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, later this year.

“Just getting seat time, and making laps in a competitive car, with a competitive team, with the backing of Ford Performance, is imperative as I continue to develop my road course racing skills. I’ll be sharing a seat with my ThorSport Racing teammate, Matt Crafton, and he has a pretty good track record on road courses, so hopefully we can lean on each other and make the best of this opportunity.”
