CHINA GROVE, N.C. – Precision Performance Motorsport has locked in a second entry in its multi-car IMSA Super Trofeo program.
Steve Dunn will race the No. 11 Killer Dana Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO in the Am class, joining the previously announced duo of Conor Daly and Brandon Gdovic in the No. 46 Pro/Pro class.
“The goals for The Killer Dana Lamborghini in the 2019 Super Trofeo season is to win the North American and World Finals Am Championships,” said Dunn. “I am preparing and working hard physically and mentally to achieve this goal and Precision Performance Motorsports is working hard to prepare the car to achieve this goal as well. The team has a wealth of top-notch people with experience with the Huracán platform to give me the best shot possible at the goal.”
Dunn made his Super Trofeo debut in 2018 at the Road America double header, securing pole position in both races. In preparation for his first full season in the IMSA Super Trofeo series, Dunn and PPM will participate in a two day test this week at Barber Motorsports Park.
Dunn also recently participated in the team’s first Rolex 24 at Daytona, surviving contact from another car, a clutch replacement, and a torrential downpour to make it to the checkered flag.
“Steve impressed us right out of the box last year at Road America where he secured the pole in class for both races,” said Team Manager Sunny Voelker. “He is a driven and determined guy. As a team, we are focused on his championship run in the Am class beginning with a two-day test at Barber Motorsports Park.”
