CHINA GROVE, N.C. – Nine months after the Laguna Seca race weekend and one year since her podium finish at the Watkins Glen Int’l round of the Super Trofeo North American Championship, Pippa Mann is set to return to the series.
Pippa Mann is joining the Precision Performance Motorsports at Watkins Glen Int’l July 28-Aug. 1 to team to co-drive the No. 47 Huracan Super Trofeo EVO alongside Pro-Am points leader Patrick Liddy. The PPM entry will also feature branding from three of Pippa’s primary Indianapolis 500 sponsors – Donate Life, OrthoIndy and Bell Techlogix.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to rejoin the Super Trofeo paddock, and to return to one of my favorite US road course at Watkins Glen,” said Mann. “I’m thrilled to be able to bring Donate Life, OrthoIndy, and Bell Techlogix with me, and I’m very thankful to PPM for helping create this opportunity for me to get back into a racing car again. I can’t wait to see how the car looks with the Donate Life, OrthoIndy and Bell Techlogix logos, and I can’t wait for race weekend.”
Mann will get her first taste of the new Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO when she hits the 11-turn New York circuit in first practice on June 28.
“I was excited to see the new Super Trofeo car last fall at Laguna Seca, and I was gutted not to be able to pull together the funding for a full season, and to miss the first round this year at Mid-Ohio.” Mann stated. “I haven’t had any testing yet, but I hear great things from my friends in the paddock in terms of the upgrades and handling, so I am looking forwards to adapting to the challenge and getting the chance to drive the new car for the first time.”
