Wayne Taylor Racing Adds New Partner

LAKEVILLE, Conn. – As co-drivers Max Angelelli and Jordan Taylor and the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette Dallara DP team for Wayne Taylor Racing (WTR) prepare to conclude the 2013 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series campaign this weekend at historic Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Conn., WTR today welcomes a new partner to the program for the 2014 Tudor United Sports Car Championship season – Titanium Metal Supply, Inc.

Titanium Metal Supply is a leading customer-service-based supplier of titanium mill products. The company operates within a trusted network of suppliers, finishers and fabricators in order to provide customers the best quality, price and material available on the market. Titanium Metal Supply was founded on the premises of first-rate customer service, fast turnaround and no minimum order, and is based in Poway, Calif.

The focus of the relationship with WTR will be Titanium Metal Supply’s personal endorsement of the brothers Taylor – 22-year-old Jordan and his 24-year-old brother Ricky – who drive for two of sports car racing’s premiere Corvette DP teams. In his first year alongside the veteran Angelelli this season, Jordan Taylor helped account for a series-high four victories and three pole positions thus far as the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette DP duo heads to Lime Rock leading the Rolex Series driver championship. Ricky Taylor co-drove the No. 10 WTR SunTrust Racing entry to seven wins – including three consecutive victories at Lime Rock – and 10 pole positions in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Ricky Taylor joined the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Corvette DP team at the beginning of 2013.

“We have always treasured our relationships with our partners, and we would like to welcome Titanium Metal Supply to the Wayne Taylor Racing family,” said three-time sports-car-racing champion and team owner Wayne Taylor, father of Jordan and Ricky Taylor. “They are leaders in their industry and we certainly feel like we mirror their ultimate commitment to customer satisfaction. As we join our fellow GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series competitors in a new beginning with the newly merged Tudor United Sports Car Championship next year, we are excited to be doing so with our valuable partners, and are happy to be doing so with Titanium Metal Supply.”

Titanium Metal Supply President Todd Harrison also expressed the company’s excitement about joining America’s premiere road racing series with Wayne Taylor Racing beginning in 2014.

“Titanium Metal Supply is very excited about our partnership with Wayne Taylor Racing and our budding relationship with two of the most promising young American drivers in sports car racing – Jordan and Ricky Taylor,” Harrison said. “Wayne Taylor Racing was introduced to us through our office manager Lana, who is a family relation to Wayne and his wife Shelley. Wayne and Shelley immediately invited us to the race at Laguna Seca earlier this month and welcomed us as if we were family, too. The race team is an incredible, well-oiled machine and a championship organization and we never thought twice about our decision to join the team. On behalf of the whole team at Titanium Metal Supply, we are excited for this last race and all the new developments with the new United Sports Car Championship in 2014. And, we are thrilled at the prospects of growing our business in the motorsports arena in conjunction with the blossoming careers of Jordan and Ricky Taylor.”
