F600 Challenge Releases 2014 Schedule


The F600 Challenge Series has announced its preliminary schedule for the 2014 season, which includes six races weekends at six different tracks.

Two of the six races will be co-sanctioned events with the Sports Car Club of America-sanctioned F1600 Formula F Championship Series. Those events – at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course July 4-6 and Thompson (Conn.) Int’l Speedway on Aug. 28-31 – will include approximately three horus of dedicated track time with no class mixing during the three-day weekend.

The F600 Challenge Series will be free to organize the format for those race weekends with two 30 minute practice sessions each day. Those two Pro race events will consist of only formula car/SR’s expect for the Pro-IT cars at Thompson.

In addition to announcing the 2014 schedule, series officials have confirmed several sponsorship agreements. Solo Performance Specialties, CoolShirt and Hoosier Tire have all renewed their contingency programs with the series.

May 10-11 – Virginia Int’l Raceway – Alton, Va.

June 13-15 – Road America – Elkhart Lake, Wis.

July 4-6 – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course – Lexington, Ohio

Aug. 8-10 – Barber Motorsports Park – Leeds, Ala.

Aug. 28-31 – Thompson Int’l Speedway – Thompson, Conn.

Oct. 30-Nov. 2 – Road Atlanta – Braselton, Ga.
