STUART, Fla. — In a year full of transition and preparation for the 2014 United SportsCar Racing season, Extreme Speed Motorsports makes another change beginning with the seventh round of the 2013 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.
For this weekend’s Grand Prix of Baltimore, Anthony Lazzaro will partner Scott Sharp behind the wheel of the the ESM No. 01 Tequila Patrón Honda Performance Development ARX-03b.
Lazzaro is a familiar face in the ESM paddock. The 1999 24 Hours of Daytona winner teamed with Ed Brown and Johannes van Overbeek in the No. 02 Tequila Patrón HPD at the 12 Hours of Sebring, where the trio finished fourth in the P2 class.
In 2012, Lazzaro competed with ESM at Sebring Int’l Raceway and Road Atlanta in the No. 02 GT car. He was seventh in class at the 12 Hours and finished ninth at Atlanta.
The two-hour Grand Prix of Baltimore takes place Aug. 30-31.
