BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – Trent Hindman will be returning to Fall-Line Motorsports in 2014 and will compete in his first full-season IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge Grand Sport (GS) class competition in one of the team’s BMW M3s.
Hindman, who turned 18 this past fall, hails from New Jersey and competed in five CTSCC races in 2013. At his first-ever professional sports car race in his career, which took place at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Hindman qualified third and finished fourth. He scored two top-ten finishes, two top-fives, one podium and one pole position for an average finish of 5.2 in 2013.
Hindman came up through the open-wheel ranks, starting in karting as a youngster then transitioning to cars via the Skip Barber Series’, Formula Ford 1600 in Canada, and the USF2000 Series in 2012. He made the shift to sportscars just this year and competed in SCCA with Fall-Line in addition to his professional program.
“I have to say that I am incredibly excited to be back with Fall-Line,” Hindman said. “Being able to return for the 2014 season and having the chance to work with a great team and some of the best drivers in the U.S. is truly a privilege. I am very happy to be continuing my relationship with Fall-Line and I’m especially looking forward to having another great season with these guys.”
Hindman’s co-driver and sponsors will be announced ahead of the first official event of 2014, the Roar Before the Rolex 24 at Daytona Int’l Speedway in early January.
