Grand-Am Extends Yacaman’s Probation

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Grand-Am Road Racing has extended its probation of Gustavo Yacaman, driver of the No. 6 Ford/Riley, to the next two Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series events in which he competes.

Yacaman’s original two-race probation resulted from his involvement in various incidents during the Detroit Belle Isle event on June 1. The probation was extended because race officials were unable to evaluate Yacaman throughout the event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday, June 15 due to an incident early in the race.

The next two Rolex Series races are at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) Int’l on June 30 and Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Ind., on July 26.
