Unstoppable Sanders Rules Ocean Dirt

WATSONVILLE, Calif. — Justin Sanders proved once again that he is unbeatable when it come to the Taco Bravo sprint car series at Ocean Speedway.

The nearby Aramos driver of the yellow No. 17 drove to victory in the 30-lap feature at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds oval on Friday night.

Sanders topped Cole Macedo and Brad Furr in race eight for the 360 series cars.

Mathew Moles and Macedo made up the front row of the 21-car starting field and it was Macedo who took the early lead while Sanders took off from the third spot. His familiar yellow No. 17 passed leader Macedo on the 18th circuit with a low move in lapped traffic in the third turn.

The race would slow two more times for minor incidents, but it the master Sanders who would never be headed.  Furr challenged the young Macedo a few times, but failed to complete the pass.  Bud Kaeding moved up from the ninth starting spot to finish ahead of polesitter Moles.

Twenty-one cars timed in with Ryan Bernal in the Keith Day Trucking No. 22 setting the fast time.
