Al Miller Memorial Moving To Merced Speedway

MERCED, Calif. – Doug Lockwood and S&S Promotions have announced that the Al Miller Memorial will take place at Merced Speedway in April, with the IMCA Sport Mod winner taking home a $5,000 prize.

“Really excited to be going to work on the 2021 season, and excited to have another big event on our schedule already,” Lockwood said. “Our entire staff is thankful that Robert and Randy Miller thought of us to host this event, and I am personally excited to work with them. Both have been very supportive in sponsoring cars and events through their businesses R&J Landscaping and Miller Entertainment, and it’s our goal to make this a must attend event in honor of their father, Al Miller.’

In 2021 the event will be a IMCA Sport Mod event with the winner taking home $5,000 and a $200 minimum being offered up to all feature event starters.

The fourth annual Al Miller Memorial will turn into a full weekend of events at Merced with the lights turning on Thursday night, April 15 for an open practice, Friday, April 16 will serve as a regular points race for the track, with the big money up for grabs on Saturday, April 17.

Aside from the IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and Hobby Stocks will all be in action during both programs.

“Our family has enjoyed the past Al Miller Memorials, and we are looking forward to making this event and future events something that our dad would be proud of,” Randy Miller said. “Our hope is to build this into something the racers look forward to attending annually and we think working with Doug Lockwood will make this happen. My brother and I are also excited that we will be competing in this event together as well.”
