Tracks In South Carolina & Georgia Announce Events

LANCASTER, S.C. – Two more race tracks have announced plans to host racing this weekend in Georgia and South Carolina.

Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway will host a $5,000-to-win Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event on Friday evening. The event will be closed to fans and social distancing rules will be in affect for teams in attendance. Race teams will be limited to five crew members per car.

The track also plans to hold an open practice session on Thursday night for super late model competitors from 6 to 10 p.m.

The Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series opened its season on March 7 at Lancaster, with Zack Mitchell earning the victory.

On Saturday Boyd’s Speedway in Ringgold, Ga., will kick open the gates for a four-division show headlined by a $5,000-to-win event for super late models. The crate late model, sportsman and driver development divisions will also be in action at Boyd’s Speedway.

Unlike the race at Lancaster Motor Speedway, the grandstands will be open to fans at Boyd’s Speedway. Social distancing rules will be in affect, with family groups of fans not allowed to sit within six feet of each other.

Both races will be streamed live. Click here for more information.

The races at Lancaster and Boyd’s join the previously announced races at North Carolina’s Tri-County Race Track on Thursday and South Carolina’s Cherokee Speedway as events scheduled for this weekend in the southeast.
