GIBSONTON, Fla. – Luke Thomas held off a late-race charge from Travis Senter to capture Saturday’s finale for Florida Mini Sprint Ass’n at East Bay Raceway Park.
Thomas, who also won Saturday’s mini sprint feature at East Bay, started on the front row alongside Tyler Devault. Thomas led the entire distance, but multiple caution flags forced him to stay on his game. The final caution waved with just two laps left, forcing Thomas to battle Senter for the race lead during the restart.
Senter came up short however as Thomas held on to claim the victory and the 2014 Winternationals Florida Mini Sprint Ass’n championship.
