TAZEWELL, Tenn. – Tazewell Speedway has released its schedule the upcoming season that features a mix of special events and regular fixtures.
The season will open on March 20 with the 11th annual Charles Trammell Memorial. The UCRA-sanctioned event will pay $3,000 to the winner.
On Saturday, April 3, the inaugural Little Bill Corum Memorial presented by Toyota of Knoxville will take place with a top prize of $21,000 on the line. The co-sanctioned event with the Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals and the Iron-Man Championship Series was canceled last year because of pandemic restrictions.
Other super late model events on the schedule include two more visits from the Iron Man Championship Series on July 3 and on Sept. 5 for the 13th annual Buddy Rogers Memorial. This year’s Buddy Rogers Memorial will pay $10,044 to the winner.
The Topless Outlaw Late Model Series will make two stops at Tazewell Speedway. The first is on May 30 for the Melvin Corum Memorial. The second visit will be on Aug. 21 for the second annual Bill Ogle Memorial.
The season will come to an end on Oct. 9 when the United Crate Racing Alliance returns for a $3,000 to win program.
A number of weekly events and special promotions, such as Coca-Cola Race Night, Fan Appreciation Night, and 20,000 nickels tossed onto the track for kids are just part of the 2021 action scheduled at Tazewell Speedway.
