NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. — NASCAR Truck Series legend Mike Skinner and late model veteran Ryan Moore shared top honors during Saturday night’s Red Eye 50/50 at New Smyrna Speedway.

Skinner drove to a dominant victory in the 50-lap pro late model feature, racing from the pole to victory.

“It’s really cool to come out to New Smyrna Speedway and win the first NASCAR-sanctioned race of the year,” Skinner said. “This is the second time that we’ve been able to do that and being almost 62 years old, I just can’t believe it.”

Brad May finished second, with Todd Stone, Josh Todd and Dalton Smith rounding out the top five.

Moore started on the pole and won the super late model portion of the program, with May storming from 17th to finish second for the second time on the night.

Anthony Sergi, Gus Dean and Daniel Keene Jr. rounded out the top five.

Wayne Parker won the modified feature.
