LANCASTER, S.C. – The South Eastern Crate Ass’n (SECA) has welcomed Lancaster Speedway to the SECA family for the 2014 racing season.
The rich racing history and memories of the “Fastest half mile dirt track in the South” date as far back to the opening year of 1954. Doug McManus took ownership of the facility in 2000 and has since been able to preserve those memories while etching new ones while under his management.
“Talk about exciting? Have you ever heard of Brandy or Timbo? Those fans at Lancaster are what this sport is about. It is hard to find the dedication and passion that they bring with them each week,” said SECA co-owner Timmy Macabee. “Doug, Bruce Arrants and the staff do a great job to provide a great weekly racing program for each fan and the drivers. We are honored to become just a small part of the well known tradition there, looking forward to the start of 2014.”
“We like what SECA brings to their drivers, and they have proven themselves to look out for our weekly programs in this area,” stated Doug McManus. “We believe the partnership will benefit both our race teams and our fans, as the layout and formula of the SECA program makes complete sense for our area.”
