KENLY, N.C. – Bobby McCarty fended off Lee Pulliam to win Sunday’s 125-lap late model stock car feature during the rescheduled Thanksgiving Classic at Southern National Motorsports Park.
McCarty had been leading the race with Pulliam in pursuit when the caution flag waved with two laps left, setting up a green-white-checkered restart.
The two ended up racing side-by-side for the final two laps, with McCarty beating Pulliam to the checkered flag by .040 seconds. Bradley McCaskill was third in the 14-car field, followed by Brenden Queen and Corey Heim.
Brandon Clements won the companion 75-lap limited late model feature.
