HICKORY, N.C. – After a late-race bump from Austin McDaniel last Saturday kept Jesse LeFevers from victory lane, LeFevers was determined to close the deal at Hickory Motor Speedway this Saturday.
The 100-lap Bojangles Late Model race kicked off with Brodie Kostecki starting at the point. Kostecki would lead early until LeFevers made a move to take second from Matt Piercy. LeFevers was finally able to run down Kostecki and would take the lead on the 26th lap.
As LeFevers extended his lead, Tyler Church would get by Piercy for third. With no cautions to close the gaps, they continued to battle throughout the field. Defending track champion McDaniel worked his way through the field, but LeFevers was long gone by then. At the line it would be LeFevers, Church, McDaniel, Shane Lee and Keith Bumgarner rounding out the top five.
Other class winners on the evening at Hickory included Jeremy Pelfrey (limited late models), Charlie Neill (renegades), Jonathon Smith (street stocks) and Clint Fields (super trucks).
