Dorer Stops Nasse For $15,000 Payday

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Steve Dorer put the finishing touches on a strong day at Showtime Speedway Saturday with a victory in the inaugural Florida Fest super late model feature, earning himself a $15,000 payday.

Dorer started the afternoon by setting fast time, which led him to start eighth in the feature following an invert. He raced his way to the front of the field, taking the top spot from Anthony Sergi with 50 laps left.

A late caution period put Stephen Nasse on Dorer’s tail, but Dorer stood tall and was able to fend off the touring super late model ace to pick up the victory and cash the $15,000 check that came with it.

Kyle Plott finished third, followed by Jeremy Pate and George Gorham Jr.

The finish:

Steve Dorer, Stephen Nasse, Kyle Plott, Jeremy Pate, George Gorham Jr., Evan Shotko, Cody Stickler, Nick Neri, Anthony Sergi, Michael Goddard, Jake Garcia, Michael Atwell, Dave Killian, Daniel Keene Jr., Jett Noland, Kyle McCallum, Jeff Scofield, Rich Bickle, Austin Maynard, Jesse Dutilly, Michael Hinde, Chris Fontaine.
