Casey Hall Tops Showtime Figure-8 Run

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Casey Hall won Friday’s street stock Figure-8 event at Showtime Speedway, the track’s first night of competition since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hall took the top spot on lap seven of the 40-lap feature and led the rest of the way, beating runner-up Dodge Carlbert to the checkered flag by six tenths of a second.

George Bartimac, Bruce Bennett Jr. and Thomas Meyer filled out the top five in the 16-car field.

Robert Yoho won the rear-wheel drive Outlaw portion of the Figure 8 event, while Garrett Larson topped a 4-Cylinder enduro and Shane Grigsby won the Hobby Stock main event.

The Figure-8 event was a precursor to Saturday’s portion of a two-day weekend at Showtime, featuring the Southern Sprint Car Shootout Series in a 44-lap main event.

Action from the three-eighths-mile oval will be broadcast by LowBudget.tv, a member of the SPEED SPORT Network.
