NORMAN PARK, Ga. – Brandon Overton started from the pole and raced to a $6,000 triumph during the Gene Maine Memorial for super late models Saturday night at Needmore Speedway.
In front of a strong crowd, Overton was able to led the entire 40-lap distance. At one point he a half-track lead over second place, but a late-race caution on lap 32 negated that lead.
Despite losing his big lead, Overton still managed to pull away to a comfortable victory over Kyle Bronson, who finished second after resetting the track record in qualifying.
Jonathan Davenport finished third at the three-eighths-mile clay oval, followed by Billy Moyer Jr. and Brian Shirley.
